Agile project management
Agile projects focus on time slots in which project teams make their decisions based on the facts of the project known at that moment. The agile project methods do not rely on long blueprints given the fact that in many cases it is hard to design the outcome of a project. Therefore agile project management is a good approach for projects in which the result is hard to describe before hand such as creative projects and software development projects. In software development projects especially agile methods are used more and more. In the 1 day course agile project management course several methods of agile project management are looked at (RUP, XP, DSDM) with extreme programming (XP) looked at in more detail.
After the Agile project management course participants have an overview of the different agile methods and can decide which one fits best for their work. Enabling participants with the rules of Extreme Programming in detail they are then capable of organizing a project within the Extreme Programming method.
