Our trainers

The training courses of www.projectmanagement-training.net are given by a group of collaborating freelance consultants, supported by an office manager. Each trainer brings his own specializations within project management: IPMA certification, non-profit organizations, technology companies, change processes, creative sector, ICT project management or government. The trainers all have more than 20 years of experience in the project management profession. A number of trainers are PRINCE2 accredited. All trainers have more than 10 years of experience in teaching and consulting.

Everdien Breken (1960) (MSc, MA) Everdien has studied at the Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama, U.S.A. and the Delft Technical University where she graduated Cum Laude. She also graduated in Fine Arts at the Utrecht School of Art (HKU) in 2010. She has worked as a project leader and manager for organisations such as CMG, the community of Utrecht, several schools and is a trainer in project management and related subjects since 2007. She is a PRINCE2 qualified teacher.

Wouter Baars

Wouter Baars (1969) (ir. MSc.) Www.projectmanagement-training.net has been founded by Wouter Baars (Msc.) in 2004. He has a masters degree in industrial engineering and management science at the Eindhoven University of Technology and is an experienced project leader. He has been leading projects for KPN (Dutch Telecom), The Waag Society, The European Commission, several smaller businesses and non profit organizations. Since 2003 he has been teaching project management and helping companies to improve their projects. Since 2008 two more project management experts became part of the team of trainers/consultants. Wouter Baars is the author of the open source book on project management that is currently in use by the KNAW (The Royal Dutch Academy of Science) and several other organizations.

Paul de Waal (1959) Paul has a degree in Educational and Pedagogical science. After his studies he has been working for many years in international business environments and became an expert as ICT-, project- and changemanager by experience and additional management education. Currently, Paul is trainer and coach for leadership- and projectmanagement skills. Besides this he still is working as a senior consultant for various organizations. Paul is certified PRINCE2 and IPMA trainer and has extended competence in coaching on personal leadership and effective working teams. Paul volunteers as project-executive for larger international projects and events on behalf of the national board of Scouting Netherlands.

Roel Janssen

Roel Janssen (1973) (ir. MSc.) Roel Janssen (MSc.)studied Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences at the University of Technology in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Project management theories formed an essential part of his curriculum. After having graduated at Philips Electronics in 1997, he worked for nearly 10 years for this multinational as a consultant and staff manager. He gained experience in both national and international projects; first as project participant, later as project leader and manager of several efficiency projects. In the following years Roel worked amongst others for the Dutch postal company Sandd, where he further built on his project experience. In 2011 he led the takeover of a postal competitor, called SelektMail. Within the field of project management Roel is a specialist in structuring project approaches and building integral financial business cases.

Tom Jacobs, MA (1961) has a degree in Psychology and Educational Sciences from the Ghent University. At the Belgian Bankers’ Association, he coordinated the introduction of Computer Based Training in the Belgian banking sector and later European Commission projects for classic distance learning in Hungary, Czechia, Estonia, Lithuania and Turkmenistan. Next he worked as a consultant in project and process management and as such ran the euro-project at Delta Lloyd Life in Belgium and started teaching project management for IIR and Vlerick Business School (ongoing). As freelance trainer in management soft skills he is also specialised in time management and personal effectiveness and teaches since 2008 at the Doctoral Schools of the universities of Antwerp, Brussels and Gent. Tom’s teaching style is characterized by life experience, practical tips & tricks and a contagious enthusiasm.

Ed Lam

Ed Lam (1962) Ed has years of experience as a project, program and line manager at educational institutions, KPN and Insights Improves, among others. He also gained a lot of experience in portfolio management. After more than 30 years in practice, he has now been active for many years as a senior consultant and trainer and he works/worked for leading organizations such as: Croon, Wolter&Dros, Municipality of Ghent, Royal Flora Holland, Cofely (now Engie) , Ziggo, Flemish Government, Ministry of Defense, Tennet and CITO. Ed is a PRINCE2, MSP, P3O and MoP accredited consultant/trainer and knows how to bring together theory, practice and behavioral competencies in customer-tailored training offerings.

Saskia Reudink is an organizational anthropologist by training, and over the past 7 years she has delved further into the field of Group Dynamics. She is fascinated by human behavior in groups and enjoys helping to get the most out of it. Saskia applies her experience as a consultant, trainer and program manager within organizations and teams, mainly involving change processes, dialogue with large groups and getting employees involved. She also applies her knowledge in advising municipalities and corporations on participation processes, especially around dialogue and getting neighborhoods involved.
